It's been quite a learning experience but I am slowing getting the hang of using the site Globalcomix to share my comic "Promised Memories". So if you guys haven't checked it out on Comic Fury and feel more comfortable on GlobalComix, check it out when you have time. My goal is to upload two chapters a week until I am caught up.

I'm sure some of you may know of this webcomic in the world of Comic Fury, it seems to have a good, loyal fan base. And rightfully so in all honesty. But if you aren't aware of this comic, I think you should give it a try. Especially if you like comics that are detailed, inspiring, funny, creative, well written and beautiful to look at. "The Extras" offers all of this and more. It is created by three people who together have made such a fun group of characters and world that I'm sure everyone can find something to enjoy and a take away from this series.

When I started this series I think the first thing that caught my attention was the artwork. It is beautifully done, in black and white with fun angles and views from different points of views. From the creative buildings, futuristic astrosphere, fantasy feel - you know you are in a city with a-lot to offer, both for the characters involved and us as the readers. We slowly get to meet the cast, first starting with Chantilly and her roommate Shelby as well as Flit. Then we meet Nita and Patience, two more roommates. All of these new classmates have their own outlooks on life, experiences of where they came from and what they hope to become someday as they grow up. It's a refreshing series to get into, as it has a certain innocence to it. But at the same gives you a chance to learn and explore this new, exciting school and the classmates involved together. We get different acclivities, spices and classes to keep you on your toes!

It wouldn't be fair to write this review and leave out all of the hidden gems of this series. The main one being how much detail you get from the writers/creators themselves. Every so often we the readers get spoiled with these pages of details and more information on the cast of characters, the school itself, the world in which the school is in and some beautiful art. As I read this series (I am happily caught up) I was honestly blown away by all it has to offer. If you enjoy extras besides a wonderfully written and drawn out series then you will enjoy these as much as I did. There are many other characters included and we get to learn more about them in these fun filled pages. I felt like I was not only reading a great series, but I was able to take away a much appreciated understanding of this story and all that was put into it.

These four main characters and their new adventures in this school are a fun distraction rom our own world. I look forward to seeing how the series evolves and what is yet to come for them and their futures. I image they will still be life long friends when they are done with school, but in the meantime I will enjoy every bit of their inner growth and character development. And I'm sure you guys will, too.

I feel I should start off with this comic by saying I feel like it is greatly enjoyed and appreciated by it's fans & readers but is still what I would consider unrated on Comic Fury. With "Starboard: The Journey Home" we get to experience a web comic that brings it's own to this community. To me, as I read this comic I felt like I was welcomed into a new and fresh series that never loses my interest.

Vinegar3 has created Zach and J.C, two pretty relatable & enjoyable young men who go on the most unexpected (and worst bad luck situations I've read about in awhile!) journey - if you want to call it that! From the way that they talk and have their conversations to their style and facial expressions - you just feel at ease with them. Like I could easily see these two just hanging around on the street. How they end up in this unusual part of the universes is extremely unfortunate and as the story goes on things just seem to get worse for them. I couldn't help but read more and more, with each page hoping things would at least get a-little easier for them. They go through so much in such a short period of time and Vinegar3 sure knows how to pull us readers into the story, even from the first mysterious page!

The art style is easy on the eyes, with the character designs that feel clean and crisp. I love the backgrounds in some of the pages, the details are enjoyable and it's done in black and white tones. I find it fits the story well and is refreshing. Over time we get introduced to more characters, all of which are original in their own ways. I love how the conversations flow in this comic, as I was reading it. It all felt natural. This is a comic I am surprised that not more people are reading and subscribed to, but I'm hoping in the future that will change.

Now I've read some dark web comics here on Comic Fury. Of all kinds. Different stories, graphic art, disturbing characters and suspenseful plots but "Acid Box" by Aneeway is on a completely different level. From the start we find a child who is locked up in a closed off room with a smiley face mask on. Their small wrists are chained to the wall behind them. And blood spattered on them. This red blood stands out because the comic is mainly done in black and white. No words are said until we get to the third page. It is horribly haunting and terrifying in ways that stay with you. Because my thought was - 'whoever is behind that smiley face mask, they can't be smiling on the other side of it'. This is the start to a deep, mysterious and dark web comic that isn't for the faint of heart.

Soon enough we get to meet some of who feel like the main characters of this story. Rilah, Hannibal, Honey and the mysterious child (who later gets a name but I don't like to give away too many spoilers with these!). They have their own stories, struggles and face tough choices throughout their lives which we get to follow along. There were times when this comic took so many twists and turns it stayed with me long after I read it. Wondering what would become of everyone until I got the time to dive back into reading.

Aneeway's art style is something I would call original with a comforting character design to it in this troubling world. The black and white colors really give it a certain feel. Then when there is action, noise or something similar we get color! And boy, it really stands out after experiencing it all in black and white. So many details are added in, with the backgrounds being very descriptive and at times it feels like you are right along with them. Action scenes are felt with force, heartbreaking moments are felt with such emotion and the violence is very realistic. There is this dream that one of the characters experiences and I felt so invested to what was happening, it pulled me into the story and dream he was experiencing like very few comics have before. That speaks volumes to me of the level of story writing and illustrations Aneeway created for us to enjoy.
This reminds me I should have put in these reviews before, but this comic is flagged with Violence, gore, sexual situations and frequent strong language. So keep that in mind if those things bother you. (I'm learning as I go along with these reviews!)

So if you are looking for something original, dark, suspenseful and action packed as well as heartbreaking at times you should give "Acid Box" a try. You may turn out to like it as much as I did! It's well worth a try!

'A day in Hillsburg' is it's own kind of comic! Right from the start, we see Bob - an evil potato on the sign welcoming you - only thing is, it's been changed a bit! Almost giving this comic a scary feel, but that won't last for long. I feel like the comic comes off funny and original like that... what you think may happen or should happen, doesn't at all. And that's because of the fact that Hillsburg isn't your normal town. It's far from it! As we join Adam and Conner, we learn that anything is possible in this wacky place. Each chapter is done up with a different story which makes it a smooth read as you go along.

I think my favorite part of nilloc04's comic is the art and his use of expressions for all of the characters. They are hilarious. How he draws the eyes, mouth, even the body language can be ridiculous - but all in the best way possible. As I was reading this comic I couldn't help but laugh at so many of them. They felt almost realistic but yet on a new level of a cartoonish style. It makes the emotions those characters are feeling come to life. The characters keep things moving along smoothly as well. The two main boys have pretty different personalities but even each other out. The other characters who show up are likable and made me curious to read more. I am currently caught up with the series. nillo04 has many cameos in this series, so it's been a fun time spotting other characters from comics I have been reading. I know others love seeing this, it makes the world of Hillsburg feel like more of a diverse world.

If you are looking for something new, easy to binge, funny and original I suggest you check out 'A day in Hillsburg'!
