It's only Wednesday night where I am, but already this week has worn me out! So many odd little busy things happened. And now it's halfway done and I don't know where the time has gone. I truly mean it when I say I am trying to get on DW more, but somedays I just don't feel like interacting with anyone and sitting on my couch reading or working on a project is what I would rather do with my time.
Monday I had the day off so I got some stuff done around my yard, but in the process of weed whacking I hurt some muscles in my back on the right side. That's been sort of keeping me from doing too much else physically. It's still very sore but I think it'll be done in another day or two.
My dad had an accident on a four wheeler he uses around the yard to haul stuff. It was in the wrong gear and he flipped off of it, hurting his chin and arms. Luckily he is okay, but being in his late 70's with some minor health issues, I worry about him (and my mom) quite a bit! So I went over there to check on him. My sister was already there so she helped him and his wounds. Then my nephew wanted to hang out for a bit, so we hung out for an hour. Went on a walk with his dog and then came back to my house to play video games.
But I did some reading and I did draw some new characters for Promised Memories.
I didn't get as much done as I wanted to with it being my day off, but that's okay. These things happen.
Tuesday after work I had a doctors appt. and it was such a beautiful day that I wanted to go walking around after that to play some Pokemon Go. So that took about an hour. I was still sore from Monday so when I came home I ended up taking a much longer nap than I wanted to. But I just didn't want to get up. I did get some work done for my comic and some reading done.
And today after work I had gravel come in for my driveway. It was going good up until the young man left. And I had many piles to clear up and move around. It was very tiring work! When already my back was STILL sore from Monday. But luckily the company got ahold of me, the owner came out and cleared up what he could and then the young man who didn't complete the job the first time came back out to finish the job. They were very understanding and nice. But physically moving a dozen buckets half full of gravel up and down a hill was very exhausting. SO I'm grateful they came back and helped finish the job.
Sometimes there are moments in my life that I look back on and I think... gosh, this is my life - right now! And what I'm going though builds character or something... at least that's how I like to think these experiences go for me. I hope all of you have been having a good week.
