Ohio made big news Tuesday!
Nov. 9th, 2023 11:51 amI usually don't post political stuff, but after I thought about it, I figured - heck, why not?
So Tuesday Ohio had two important issues on the ticket -
issue 1: To enshrine the right to an abortion and other reproductive health care in the state constitution.
issue 2: To legalize recreational marijuana for adults 21 and older.
And they both passed! This is big news, because I'm sure as any of you know Ohio has turned into a pretty red state over the last few years. So seeing this and knowing how the majority of Ohioans feel, I feel more hopeful about my state. I of course voted yes for both of these issues. To me its a no brainer. We should all have access to healthcare when it comes to pregnancy - if you want to keep it or if you don't - that is completely your business. I know personally from my own experience that there is and always will be grey areas when it comes down to this topic. And about the marijuana? Honestly, again this comes down to your body and the right to do what you want. This will help create tax money that will go towards all sorts of things needed in our state like a cannabis social program, help combat substance abuse programs among other stuff.
So anyway, I just wanted to take a minute and be happy and proud of all the other voters.
