To say this comic was a pleasant surprise while logging onto Comic Fury one day is an under statement. I feel like it is one of the under rated comics on that site. There are a-lot of areas that this story explores and I glad I started reading it! I was curious about the title and the cover art caught my eye. It covers time travel, sexuality, romance and science fiction..

The story starts out in 2022 with two average teens named Kyle and Roger. Through some unexpected and (what seems to be unlucky at the time!) events, they get transported back in time 35 years! They are in the same neighborhood, so it's quite an experience to say the least in seeing what life was like 35 years ago. For almost anyone this would be a huge shock, and it is for these two but as the story progresses they start to find their way in this new but still somewhat familiar world they are trapped in. The creator DaveElliottSmith writes wonderfully, with all sorts of jokes and humor throughout the comic. There are fun references to pop culture both from today and back then. Both Roger and Kyle are different in their own ways and it's their personalities that keep the story and the plot going since they both have their own interests and thoughts on their unfortunate situation. The strange man from the future who is now in the same time & place as they are also gives us small peeks of the future world where he comes from. So added in the three of them together for an uncertain time they have to work together and try to keep things normal and not be suspicious.

And this seems to be where my mind would wander about during and after I'd read this series. We think about it from time to time: What would it be like to live in the past? Or even the future. I'm one who would like to live in the past, but as I've experienced these young men going through it it feels harder than one would first think. 35 years isn't that long of a time, but in some ways it is when we live in an ever changing and fast paced world as we do today with technology for example! To give up certain things we have grown accustomed to, rights we have now when it comes to same sex relationships... these are topics they learn about and deal with in their own ways.

I cannot finish this quick, positive review without mentioning the fantastic artwork that sines throughout each and every single page. "Today again" is done in water colors. Beautiful work, I think the finest work I have seen on Comic Fury to date. All of the details, the characters themselves, the backgrounds, buildings... they are done with such care and talent I feel I cannot give it justice in saying so. It makes me want to master and explore more with the medium since I know how changeling it can be to work with at times. DaveElliotSmith's work with showing their expressions is impressive as well.

So if you are looking for a new series to read and experience I highly recommend it! It's totally worth checking out. I'm not caught up, I've been a slow reader with this one. But there is plenty to binge and I feel like updates are on a good schedule.
