This is actually the second webcomic I have gotten into by Neil, and I am happy to say it is as enjoyable as the first one (Ruby Nation). It is a very special comic I feel in it's own way and covers a few topics all in one that I'm not sure many have tried.
We first start off with these two girls and their group practicing some witchcraft and getting mixed up in quite a bad turn of events none of them expected! Minnie becomes a giant oni and Max becomes a miniature faerie! Both of their personalities are wonderful by the way, since Minnie who is now much bigger than your normal girl is shy, soft spoken and sweet. And Max, who is now tinier than your normal girl is loud, direct and has a personality that is much bolder than her small frame. They truly balance each other out in the best ways.
I don't want to spoil too much here, but they travel about trying to get their normal bodies and lives back. Along the way they must help others - both humans and the supernatural world they are connected with. They both have so much they struggle with - their new bodies, the world around them, their past mistakes and regrets, the unknown future, their feelings for each other and trying to carry on when the cards seem so staked against them.
Not only is Neil's writing great and expressive, but I love his art style and designs of his characters and backgrounds. His use of colors and textures pulls you into the world that he has created and you really can't help but fall for these two girls and want everything to work out for them.
I highly recommend this series and I hope you enjoy it as much as I am currently! :-)
