Feef has created such a dark, creative and mysterious webcomic here. It's genres cover science fiction, supernatural and Furry/Anthro, which I think is the first of it's kind I have come across on Comic Fury. Spoon is the main character but also the demon who inhabits his guitar plays a very important role, too. These two characters work well together. In a sense they remind me of a yin and yang - playing off of each other and balancing each other in such a way. They are in a wasteland after an accident happened ten years ago that involved a plane, a portal, limbo and an explosion! Now they are on a journey back to Spoon's childhood home, finding ghosts and other survivors along the way. It has a post apocalyptic vibe to it for sure.

The comic is black and white with the occasional red and it really pops. Later in pages there is some yellow which also pops quite well, too. I have to say that the black and white mostly done throughout is completely accurate for the wasteland "First song" takes place in. The linework throughout the comic is fresh and clean - I really enjoy the designs of Spoon and the other characters. They are simple in a way but still have a good amount of detail to them. Some of the characters throughout really have a horror theme to their design. Which is great, the amount of fear added to them makes this unknown wasteland all the more scary. All of the buildings they have seen so far and experienced set the stage well for the sad fate after that accident. Not much is left of them. It's both heartbreaking and beautiful in a strange way.
The writing throughout is nicely paced. When Spoon sings the lyrics are wonderfully done. I felt like a-lot of thought and time was taken to create Spoon. There seems to be a darkness and sadness to them. The same goes for their demon ally. When it comes to the sound effects they are done with a creative spirit. I enjoy how the panels flow along each page, it makes for an enjoyable read.

So far for reading we have the prologue which is in two parts and chapter 1 which is in two parts. I still have a bit more to catch up on but it's been a good steady read. Its honestly a perfect comic to check out just in time for Halloween - but anytime of the year works perfectly well, too. I recommend it, especially if you like spooky, haunting and post apocalyptic stories.
