#13 Gratefulness

I'm grateful I have moments throughout the day for quite, alone time when I need it. I'm not a huge people person. I get drained out and tired of a-lot of noise, a-lot of conversations, constant time around others. I'm sure there are those who love to be around people and to be alone is lonely and unbearable.
But for me I love to have my time here and there alone to recharge and just have my own space. I've always been sort of a loner so I think this is just second nature for me. But as I've gotten older and work at a busy job 8 hours a day and then sometimes having a social life afterwards -I just need some time in-between to breath and get some R&R.
How many of you guys are like this? Or know someone that is similar to me in this sense?

I think I’m somewhere in between introverted/extroverted. When I’m not feeling completely well, being with people is draining, and I tend to avoid it. But in essence, I love people: finding connections with them in any way that is possible. So when I’m feeling ok, I love to talk to people or see my friends. I, however, am never in the mood for something that involves big crowds or otherwise large social gatherings. At the end of this week, I’m going to a comic con with a friend because I wanted to meet one of the actors, but something like that is very draining for me, and I dread it as much as I look forward to being there.

Making connects is important. I find spending time with friends who are more like minded like myself a better fit and they drain me less than others. Yes, big crowds can be too much! I hope you have a good time! Maybe it won't be as busy as you think! ;-)

I hear you. I find my family overwhelming, but I also appreciate that I'll miss when I don't see them every day.

Yes, I can understand that. My close family (my parents, sister and nephew) I feel I could see everyday - but more distant family members can be a bit much at times. Mostly due to different views & beliefs.
