Welcome to my first review!
I will introduce Matt since we have talked outside of comments and posts on here, so I feel like it is necessary to say he has a-lot of heart and concerns for his friends and readers well being as they read this story/comic he has created. There were moments as I read Gild And Meek that Matt would warn me about parts getting too dark and moments that may have been too disturbing for me. Worried that I may quit reading and quit being his friend. And that was something I never experienced before and it was actually very helpful knowing that I may be going into something rather dark.
Give it a read and I'm sure you will be surprised by his storytelling abilities, original art style, sense of humor, suspense, and the depth the world he's created goes into. We get the story from the character's point of view but also a nice, rare peek from the narrator as they explain things we the reader may not understand or simply know. Behind the scenes if you will. As he unravels this place and time we get to learn a bit about each character - what makes them tick, how they interact with each other and at the same time there is still plenty of mystery with each page. I think my favorite thing Of this comic is Matt's use of expressions with his characters. Followed up by his writing. You can easily tell he writes well and enjoys himself as he is telling this tale.
I recommend this comic to anyone who is wanting to try something new and original. Break free of your norms and give "Gilda And Meek And the Un-Inverse a chance":

Heh. That was the idea all along.
