I have been going through more of my books and reading them pretty quickly - but still enjoyable - lately. It really has been a nice feeling just curled up either on my couch or in front of Sapphire's tank in my rocking chair with a book. Here are two new ones that I read and completely got caught up in the story.

"Watchers"
By Dean koontz

*** What I loved about this book was how the story unraveled from the first few pages to the final plot of the story. Parts of it were sort of predictable but still enjoyable. I loved the characters and felt the suspense and thrill of the story just got better and better. It was my first Dean Knootz book, but thanks to my mom I now have a few others to read in the near future. And oh do I want to read more.

"The mourning hours"
By Paula Treick DeBoard

*** This book was very hard to put down. It was a quicker read, but still a haunting and chilling story regardless. I liked how realistic it was. The characters, their actions, the plot, the situation they are put in... it was intense and I couldn't stop wondering what would happen to them when I wasn't reading this book. The ending was a big surprise. I plan on reading more books by this author as well.
