My fist take away from reading "Hawk and Flo Adventures" by HeaddyPigeon4180 was how original it felt. As I was reading along, looking at the art and stinking into the story, I couldn't help but feel I was now a part of a creative story that stands in it's own - apart from the rest in a way that stays with you. It's comics like this one that I have been exposed to on CF that inspire me and I'm sure others. I feel that "Hawk and Flo Adventures!" takes new twists and turns in a style all of it's own. After I would read it and then go back to my day I couldn't help think of all the vibrant art, the plot and the characters.
The two main cast of this fun comic are the sibling team Hawk and Flo! In the fist bit of comic we see they take on an evil ice cream truck that is causing trouble wherever it may go across the solar system. They tackle this head on with others from their team Lacy and this adorable little monkey (I will find out the name soon). They have ambition!
I have to say the art style is it's own style. From how the dialogue fits around on the pages, to the characters, the backgrounds, the colors and sound effects - it's pretty cool to read through this one! Even through some moments are dark and scary, the colors are still bright and that gives it sort of a scarier feel since things can happen so quickly for Hawk and Flo. But they handle it like the legendary heroes they say they are! Even their outfits are pretty cool, colorful and easily their own - they fit Hawk and Flow nicely. I like how they are illustrated, too. Their big, expressive eyes and beaks plus their feet - it's an enjoyable design for them both.
The fights are action packed and like everything else very colorful! With this comic the bad guys are truly evil the first few fights seems difficult but not impossible for our feathered friends. Some parts of the scenes are done from different angles and view points which are a fun treat for the eyes. I like those quite a bit.
HeaddyPidgen writes this comic with emotion! Some of the situations that happen later on with Hawk and Flow and a sad blast from the past and I wasn't expecting it at all. But it gave them more character development and it was nice to learn more of their background. As I read along I was cheering for these two siblings more and more. Not only were they the heroes along with their team of Lacy and the monkey, but they became characters you felt deserved to win and carry on. I'm curious to see how the rest of the comic series will go on. I still have some to get caught up on soon. But there is so much to binge and enjoy. I recommend it!
