Update on my betta, Sapphire
Oct. 28th, 2024 10:58 amMy little girl has been doing good! It's been about 7 months I've had her now. A few weeks ago I bought her a pack of Catappa leaves - also known as Indian almond leaves - for her tank. I just put one in since she has a ten gallon tank and that's what is recommended. She hasn't done much with the one that's in it, but it has made the water darker for her and I think she enjoys that.
Mostly she enjoys this cute little Asian style house on a cliff. It has a door and windows and at least once a day she'll be inside it, poking her little face out. I have some other buildings for her to explore but I think she likes that one the most.
I haven't gotten confident just yet to bring real plants into the aquarium. But maybe someday. I have heard some very good benefits about them.
I have a few different kinds of food for her since I've read about the good it can do to have a variety in their diet.
She is a crown tail. Her colors are blue on her fins and face. And her body is black. So far her colors have stayed the same. She sometimes gets aggressive when I feed her, but mostly she is alert and happy. I like to sing to her and talk to her. She really is a wonderful little friend and I'm happy to have her in my home. :-)
