The 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle I have been working on since October (don't judge me :-p) is about 40% done I'm happy to announce. The main issue with not completing this was because I decided to put it on the floor upstairs in this room I use for writing now. And laying on the floor to work on it gets tiring after awhile! At the time I had my stamp collections and such all over my kitchen table, so that was not an option. But each week I have been spending about an hour on it. I'm hoping to have it done by the end of next month.
The picture on it is of some peacocks and peahens in a green house along with some lovely flowers, hummingbirds and insects. I'll be happy when I am done with it.

I am no good at jigsaw puzzles but some people are really crazy about them. I DO get the appeal.

Congrats on your progress! And it seems like a very serene picture with the wildlife nature and all. I can imagine working on it underneath a sunny window with a nice steaming cup of tea and the sound of birds chirping outside. 😊

Haha, although it is a while I get the long puzzle working time! I know that technically I could do it a few pieces at a time but generally to make any progress I need long stretches of time to try things out.

Puzzles, even smaller ones, also take up a lot of space when one is sorting out puzzle pieces. I have a big cardboard base for the puzzles and then 3 cardboard pieces for piece sorting. Can only do it on the dining table so it's inconvenient to have to be resetting the table all the time as the board goes on and off it during mealtimes.

My family loves doing puzzles for fun! I don't get to participate much b/c they do it in the evening and it is 45 minute drive. I stayed once and we completed one in 4 hours (with 4 of us). Doing one by myself would take a very very long time as well.
