# 6 Review for Laridae's 'Distrimius'

This was one of the first comics on CF I think I got all caught up on since it was such an enjoyable read and I was curious to see how things would happen next!... It's 'Distromius'!! It's also one of the first sci-fi series that I got into on the site. With an adventurous spin! There are a number of reasons I am happy I started reading it, I will share those with you now:
We start the comic with an air of mystery with a radio telling us a traffic report. We then meet our first character, get their reaction and soon meet another and get their interaction of them, some of it funny and some of it getting serious. The story then starts to take off in on it's own it feels like. Right away we notice all the detail that Laridae gives to each page. From the shadows, to shading, to the expressions of the character's - you can clearly see that a good amount of care and time went into this comic/story.
I think my two favorite things I took away from reading this comic was how original the character designs are and the use of expressions that happen with each panel. The characters are similar to animal species with each one being different in their own way. And I love the use of their clothes they wear. From either comfortable to stylish, they always are fun to check out. And back to the expressions that you get to enjoy can honestly tell the story in it's own right. They really set the mood!
So if you are looking to check out something original, mysterious and beautifully illustrated - I recommend you check out 'Distromius'! New updates will be coming in late 2023 (so soon I'm guessing!)
