"Invincea and the warriors from Hell" is one of those webcomics that accomplishes so much over the time you start it to several chapters in. It has the story telling talent down, beautiful art that captures you, characters that grow on you with each page and a plot that keeps getting better each chapter. I found myself drawn into this world and those in it so easily. Doodstormer's series is quite popular and has every right to be.

We start off finding out the sad fate of Invincea as a baby, who was orphaned, mute and left to die deep in the woods one freezing cold night. But somehow she is found, adopted, cared for, loved and accepted. I don't like to give away too many spoilers in these short, positive reviews but I just wanted to say this made me truly happy. It's moments like this that make the story of Invincea so special. During her younger years she is sort of an outcast, but I feel in a way this makes her all the more a stronger and independent soul. She grows up and some truly terrible things then take place for her once more and her life completely changes. But all the while she survives and meets some wonderful and caring friends. A group of misfits, but some of the best misfits you could find honestly... They travel together and help others along the way. There are even bits of some possible romantic feelings that leaves us readers curious to see how things will go for those who are involved! With Invincea, since she is a mute she has creative ways to show others what she needs to. Either from a sort of sign language or this chalk board she carries around. It can be comical at times. It truly is an original tale with some tasteful comedy at times, emotional moments, action packed and a sense of wonder as the story goes further and further.

Doodstormer's art throughout "Invincea and the warriors of Hell" is excellent. It's clean cut and fresh, the colors stunning as we see different seasons and places they explore. From deep down in caves, to small villages - it's all exciting. All of it is breathtaking and refreshing. I especially like the character designs. All sorts of creatures are in this series as well as animals. I like the variety of sizes and shapes of all the characters, that makes things fun and different. When it comes to the action and fighting scenes, Doodstormer really creates an intensity with those parts. The pacing is nice and easy to understand, things aren't rushed in this comic. As a reader I felt like the pacing was good. Even the dialog was fun, the way the word bubbles would go about the pages with the characters conversations.

So if you'd like to check out something new and fresh I highly recommend this series. There is plenty to binge and keep you satisfied!
