A good video about the U.S.A.'s history of climate change news 30 + years ago

I have a good amount of Youtube channels I am subscribed to and I watch Youtube on a pretty regular basis. The last few weeks I have been going back through some of the channels I haven't watched in awhile and figured I would give this one channel - TDC - a look again. This one caught my eye and I think it is worth watching. Climate change has been a big issue and worry to me and I think it's of great importance but I also fear we lost very important time in the recent past. Let me know what you guys think!

There absolutely has been a shift to where news operations have finally started adding environmental reporters and working climate change angles into other news, because it's always been there but deliberately ignored and definitely not pulled together.

I think climate change is more of a long-term issue that requires more study and that we should deal with current issues like the wars going on in Israel and Ukraine. However, living in a hot area of the world (Central Texas), I wouldn't mind things like an artificially-dimmer sun in the summertime. I further think that climate change shouldn't be a political issue, much like human sexuality.

Well, regardless, people like that climate nazi crybaby bitch former vice president still fucking ass-sore about losing the 2000 election (and by the way, conceding, taking back his concession, and all that fucking horrible shit then was too evil even for Game of Thrones) don't get "sides" in scientific debate at all. He can bitch about global warming all he wants at the Demonic National Convention or whatever shitty "documentaries" he make (and in A Convenient Lie, he just fucking goes on about a bunch of political shit that doesn't have a damn thing to do with global warming)--he has free speech--but that doesn't fucking give him a seat on a panel of experts since he's not a fucking scientist (and neither do the "climate change deniers" as Wikipedia moronically terms them). You don't interrupt every story about medical marijuana to listen to the total dumbass who thinks his hands can talk.

Feel free to ban me because of this comment, since I don't give a shit about humanity anymore, and you've pretty much brought out the very worst in me, but that's just the "inconvenient truth" of how I truly fucking feel.

Agreed. I did try the video for a spell and my main encouragement was how the comments were civil and no one seemed to be foaming at the mouth or arguing crazily. That just might be a good sign.

Sure thing! As horrid as I feel lately I take a lot of comfort in the calmer discussions happening on YT now. (((knock on wood))) Seemed to just be WWIII around 2020 or so.

I feel we were more on top of all this in the early nineties, since I vividly remember almost every single show having at least one episode completely dedicated to not screwing up the environment. I even had a Ninja Turtles book about it.

Hey! I remember that too. I was worried I was the only one. early 1990's and then by 2000 I was thinking, "What happened? Did we go off-course?"
