Favorite books from 2023

This isn't going to be a long entry, but I thought it would be fun to write about some of my favorites from last year I have read. I've been reading more and more these days -not having any streaming services and my social life that has gotten somewhat unsocial has given me more time to find enjoyment with old pleasures. Here I will list them with their title and author. Maybe in the future when and if I am feeling more adventurous I will share more details. If you have any questions feel free to ask in the comments and I will answer :)

The book series 'Acorna'

The prequel idea with Snow sounded beyond ill-advised. I was pleasantly shocked it worked instead.

I thought they were solid. The ending to the third book was too dark. I would not have killed off Prim in Collins' place.

On some level I like the films more because the books are a first person narrative, and the movies let us catch glimpses of scenes around Panem not involving Katniss. I dug that.

It made Katniss' sacrifice in the first book feel pointless. Not the best idea.
